The Fargo Fire devastated most of the downtown Fargo area. In addition, this fire took place during the greatest economic depression ever (even worse then the 1929 Great Depression). Luckily, because of the fire, the city was able to jump back to life, becoming one of the first cities around the Midwest to triumph over tragedy.
